Show (livestream)

Also called: Stream, Live, Room

Definition

A show is one continuous live selling stream from start to end: the host goes live, runs through items, and ends the stream. Sellers count their business in shows the way a shop counts trading days.

Shows are scheduled in advance so followers get a notification, and the schedule itself is a growth lever: regular slots build a repeat audience. A show has a start, a peak (usually in the first third), a long middle where momentum is won or lost, and a close.

Most analytics are per show: items sold, sales, peak viewers, length. Comparing shows to each other, and to other sellers' shows in the same category, is how a seller finds out whether a quiet night was them or the market.
