Seller analytics (live selling analytics)

Definition

Seller analytics are the metrics a live seller tracks to run the business: sales per show and per hour, item prices, sell-through, viewers, chat, buyers and fees, over time and against other sellers in the category. Platforms report a seller's own numbers; third-party tools add the market view.

The gap in platform analytics is context. Knowing a show cleared $4,000 is only useful next to what that seller's last ten shows cleared and what comparable rooms cleared the same night. The second comparison is what competitor tracking and public benchmarks exist for.

The number

The Live Selling Index is the public benchmark set: weekly medians by platform that a seller can put their own numbers next to. See this week's figures.
