Competitor tracking (rival tracking)

Definition

Competitor tracking is watching other sellers' live shows in your category to see what they sell, at what prices, at what times, and to whom. Because live rooms are public, it is possible in a way it is not for most retail.

Manual tracking means opening a rival's stream and taking notes, or running a browser extension that logs one stream at a time. Automated tracking watches many handles at once and files what cleared in each. The payoff is pricing and scheduling grounded in tonight's market rather than last month's averages, plus early notice when a known whale is active in the category.
