Repeat buyer rate
Definition
Repeat buyer rate is the share of a show's or period's buyers who have bought from the same seller before. It measures whether a seller is building a customer base or renting an audience from the platform.
Live selling has unusually high repeat rates compared with marketplaces, because the show itself is the relationship. A falling repeat rate with rising total buyers means growth is coming from discovery; a rising rate with flat buyers means the base is loyal but not growing.
