First-time buyer

Definition

A first-time buyer is a viewer making their first purchase from a seller. Platforms flag them in the sales feed so the host can welcome them, and tools track the share of new buyers per show as a growth signal.

Greeting a first-time buyer by name on camera is one of the oldest live selling habits for a reason: it converts a one-off win into a follow. The first-time share of buyers is also the cleanest measure of whether a show reached beyond the existing audience.
