Host

Also called: Seller, Streamer

Definition

The host is the person on camera running a live selling show: presenting items, starting auctions, reading chat and managing the room's energy. On a seller account the host may be the owner or a hired presenter; co-hosts split the work on long shows.

Hosting is the variable that analytics cannot fully capture and the one sellers most want to improve. The same inventory in the same slot clears differently with a different host. Agencies and brands running TikTok Shop lives often rotate hosts across a schedule.
