Price book (category price book)
Definition
A price book is a running record of what items in a category actually sold for across live shows, used by a host to set starting bids and buy-it-now prices. Built from observed clearing prices, it is the live-selling equivalent of recent comps.
A personal price book comes from a seller's own exports. A category price book comes from watching the market, and is more useful because it includes the rooms a seller is competing with. Either way the point is to price to what the room pays, not to what a listing site asks.
