Tray label (packing as you sell)
Definition
A tray label is a small label printed the moment an item sells during a live show, identifying the buyer so the item goes straight into that buyer's tray or bin. It replaces reconciling a sales export against a pile of items after the show.
Packing-as-you-sell tools detect each auction win and print the label automatically, which is why they are run on a second screen next to the stream. They do nothing for sales, but on a 300-item show they save hours of sorting and most of the shipping mistakes.
