Live Show Forecast: What a Show Your Length Clears on Whatnot, eBay Live and Fanatics Live

By the Ghost Agent team · · Data: week 2026-W45, updated every Monday

Pick a platform and the length of the show you are planning. You get what a median show of that length cleared this window, what a strong one cleared, and what the top 10% cleared, from observed sales rather than anyone's anecdote. Add your expected peak viewers to see where your room sits.

Median show

$3,852

$1,284 per hour x 3h

Strong show (top 25%)

$11,892

3.1x the median

Top 10% show

$30,349

7.9x the median

At $29 an item that is roughly 133 items for a median show and 410 for a strong one, about 44 to 137 items an hour. (Using the Whatnot median item price; enter yours above.)

How this is built: the median Whatnot show in the window earned $1,284 per hour on air; the strong and top figures scale that by how far the 75th and 90th percentile shows sit above the median (3.1x and 7.9x). It is a benchmark for shows of your length, not a prediction of yours: category, inventory and host matter more than length, and sales per hour fall as a show runs on, so long shows will usually land under the straight-line figure.

How to use the number

The median figure is the bar to clear, not the goal. Half of the shows we observed cleared less. If your last five shows average below it, the fix is rarely inventory: it is schedule, the first ten minutes, and what happens when the room goes quiet at minute forty.

The strong figure is what a seller with a loyal room and a tight run of items does on a normal night. The top-10% figure is mostly breaks, high-ticket cards and luxury: reach it with price, not volume.

Length is the weakest lever. Sales per hour fall as the show runs, so a longer show adds sales at a falling rate. Use the best-time picker to put the hours you do run where the market is buying.

Frequently asked questions

How much money can you make on a Whatnot show?

In the 30 days to November 8, 2026, across 7,147 observed Whatnot shows with at least one sale, the median show cleared $5,766 and earned about $1,284 per hour on air. A top-25% show cleared $17,800 and a top-10% show $45,425. These are gross observed sales before Whatnot's fees, refunds and the cost of the inventory. The median item sold for $29.

Does a longer show make more money?

In total, usually yes; per hour, no. Sales per hour is highest in the first hour and decays as viewers leave, so a six-hour show rarely earns twice what a three-hour show does. The forecast above multiplies the median per-hour rate by your length, which means long shows will tend to land under it. The Live Selling Index tracks how items sold per 15-minute block fall across the first two hours.

Why is there no TikTok Live figure?

Sale amounts are not visible in a public TikTok Live stream, so no third party can observe TikTok GMV honestly. The tool reports TikTok Live viewers and show length in the index but will not invent a sales number for it.

Where do these numbers come from?

Ghost Agent observes public live shows on Whatnot, eBay Live, TikTok Live and Fanatics Live for its customers and for competitor tracking, and publishes aggregate benchmarks every Monday as the Live Selling Index. This tool reads the latest snapshot (week 2026-W45). Figures are observed, not reported by the platforms, cover the shows we watched rather than every show, and name no seller.
